Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem opisal jamsko reševalno službo Premogovnika Velenje, njen način delovanja ter njene naloge in ukrepe v primeru pojava potencialnih nevarnosti.

Title:
Safety and rescuing procedures in underground mines - Velenje coal mine case
Abstract:
In this thesis we describe the coal mines rescue service of coal mine Velenje, it's methods of operation, tasks and processes in case of potential hazards. This thesis also covers the legal basis for emergency services, as the health and safety legislation must be followed as well as Law of mining (ZRud-1- UPB3). The most important excerpts are also summed up explicitly. Technical regulations that cover health and safety at work as well as methodological operations for research and exploitation of underground mineral resources are also represented here. Significant attention is given to the statute of mines rescue (ZRud-1), which among other things encompasses the area of mines rescue station, present threats in coal mine Velenje, procedure for managing hazardous situations and how rescue team functions. A practical example is provided in which we closely inspect how a rescuing team operates in a realistic situation. Important part of this work is the study of regulations which formulate the workings of mines rescue Velenje, it's assignments as well as organization, activation, training and education of it's members. The following work draws conclusions and potential room for improvement for a better and more efficient mines rescue.
