Abstract
V zaključni nalogi smo uporabili dva različna postopka obdelave na kamnitem pultu, in sicer obdelavo s konvencionalnim (vrtanje, frezanje) in z nekonvencionalnim (abrazivni vodni curek) postopkom.

Title:Comparison of conventional machining processes and the abrasive waterjet machinning for cutting of technical stone
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the issue of technical stone processing in a stone cutting company. The market offers various modern types of technical stone, which are difficult to process. Carving stone counters presents a problem because expensive diamond tools and a long processing time on machine are required when using conventional procedures. Because vibrations are a frequent side effect in diamond tools cutting, the stone can break or chip. In this thesis, we used two different procedures of stone counter processing, i.e. the conventional (drilling, milling) and the unconventional (abrasive waterjet machining) techniques. We made two kitchen counters using both methods and analysed the costs of both carving procedures. We found that the costs are significantly lower when using the abrasive waterjet machining (AWJ).
