Abstract

Title:Wireless system for in-situ monitoring of moisture and temperature in photovoltaic modules
Abstract:
The thesis addresses design and development of a wireless system for temperature and humidity measurement inside photovoltaic modules. Beside introducing wireless technologies such as RFID and NFC, already known methods for sampling temperature and humidity data inside photovoltaic modules are looked into where reasons for developing a new system are listed. The result is a designed and a developed concept of a wireless system for temperature and humidity measurement inside photovoltaic modules. The sensor module can hold up to 21 sensors on dedicated sensor strips, which are 3 mm wide and spread on an area of 125 mm x 120 mm. Operation of both modules was tested under room conditions and in a damp-heat chamber. A result of this thesis is a good base for further research on this topic and also for developing a bigger system that can be used in photovoltaic modules such as those in photovoltaic power stations.
