Abstract
V okviru magistrskega dela smo razvili in uporabili tri didaktične igre na temo Mleko in mlečni izdelki z naslovi: Mleko in mlečni izdelki, Mlečna kača in Maja in Tina raziskujeta. V raziskavi so sodelovali učenci šestega razreda dveh osnovnih šol, ki so obiskovali pouk gospodinjstva. V raziskavo so bili vključeni 104 učenci.

Title:The use of didactic games in home economics lessons
Abstract:
A didactic game is a game which meets the educational goals planned ahead that can be achieved with an active role of the participants. We place didactic games among active working methods. We anticipated that Home Economics lessons include very little active working method, the method that includes the usage of didactic games as well. To meet the needs of the present master’s degree thesis, we conducted a research which studies the benefits of using a didactic game in teaching Milk and Dairy Products teaching contents from Food and Nourishment module. For the purpose of this thesis, we developed and used three didactic games on the topic of Milk and Dairy Products with the titles: Milk and Dairy Products, Lactic Snake, and Maja and Tina Explore. 104 six-graders from two primary schools who attended the Home Economics lessons participated in the research. There were 56 pupils in the experimental group and 48 pupils in the control group. We concluded that students who didactic games during the lessons achieved better results in the final tests than the students in the control group. The research shows that students use didactic games in learning Home Economics only very rarely, but they do show motivation for and express positive opinion on didactic games. Considering the results of the research, we strongly recommend more didactic games be introduced in the Home Economics lessons, for they can serve as an important aid when it comes to the teaching of Home Economics contents.
