This thesis discusses negation in multilingual verbal phrases with an auxiliary, which is not yet precisely defined by the rules in Slovene language. With the help of Slovene grammars published between 1934 and 2000, and the Dictionary of the Standard Slovene Language it analyzes various examples of negated sentences with an auxiliary. Its purpose is to try to define the rules when to use genitive and accusative clauses with help of Breznik's discussion Stavčna negacija v slovenščini, opinions of Jezikovna svetovalnica Inštituta za slovenski jezik Frana Ramovša ZRC SAZU and Lektorsko društvo Slovenije, examples of use in Gigafida corpus and the answers to the survey: When is the usage of accusative wrong, admissible or obligatory?
