In the thesis various theoretical baselines from the field of intelligence are presented. In more detail I presented Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, its bases, criticism and application in preschool education.
The empirical part of the thesis deals with research and analysis of literature ("Curriculum for preschool" and monthly preparation for educational work) and recognizing Gardner's multiple intelligences in its goals and activities. For one month I observed a group of children age 3 to 4 years at spontaneous or unplanned activities, such as daily routine and free play, and tried to ascertain how Gardner's intelligences are exhibited in preschool education.
The results showed that in the "Curriculum for preschool" we find all eight of Gardner's intelligences and that they are intertwined with each other and included in all six fields of activity. From the obtained data, it cannot be concluded that in preschool there is more representation for language and logical-mathematical intelligence than for other intelligences, what is believed by the critics of current educational system. It can also be concluded, that all intelligences are included in the monthly plan of educational work. Even planned activities, daily routines and free play, by my observations, cover all six areas of activity and encouragement for the development of all eight multiple intelligences.
