Main purpose of monitoring reliability is to improve effectiveness of maintenance program, which is set up for certain aircraft flying in certain conditions. Various statistical and non-statistical methods are used by different sources. Especially smaller organisations responsible for continuing airworthiness management do not dedicate enough attention in this field. Cause is hidden in limited received data which results in unsatisfactory identifications of system’s and component’s reliability, when conducting analysis or their monitoring seems pointless. If methodology of work is properly selected, we can still identify problems even with limited data. In this diploma work comparison between different statistical methods is conducted on data basis of Embraer ERJ 135/145 aircraft. Considering the results of analysis, we soon find out, that different approaches are needed. Findings of negative trends can only be done with case by case study of defects and with searching of their repetitions.
