Link between a film and a theatre is certainly special and close. In a sense, the film has been originated in the theatre. The theatre has been defining the development of the film, at least in first years of its existence. Recognition of differences between the film and the theatre has happened by the medium's modern features, a few film creators’ and an individual authors’ merit. Due to these differences, film has separated from the theatre and has become an individual form of art.
In a theoretical analysis of this diploma thesis are described development of a film and a theatre; additionally, initial links between a film and a theatre are researched. Author supports herself on actual re-creations which have been set by world-known creators. Author precisely analyses the work of Quentin Tarantino due to his expressiveness in direction and his storytelling skills.
Author tries to convert a part of the theatrical performance Blazinec into the film, to establish how to link theatrical and film components and how to substantiate these features into Quentin Tarantino's style. As a part of the director's visual overview, based on his style directives, author tries to hand the final product of this diploma thesis – short feature film Blazinec.
