In today's professional sport, including basketball, mobility is an important skill, which in connection with other movement skills allows athletes to have better mobility efficiency, an optimal movement technique, psycho-physical relaxation and are less susceptible to injuries.
In basketball, the field of mobility is somewhat ignored as during the training process, time is primarily devoted to the development of other physical and basketball skills and competences. Mobility as such is often neglected or left out. Therefore the purpose of this monographic diploma is to present the field of mobility and a system for testing it. We have presented both the advantages and disadvantages of the FMS test system and supplemented it with selected mobility tests suitable for the needs of basketball players testing.
By demonstrating the use of the modified FMS test system, we want to improve the level of mobility testing which undoubtedly is an important movement skill for basketball players. We strive to improve the mobility training, in order to reduce the number of injuries, eliminate the consequences of improper body posture and overload syndromes; Consequently creating better conditions for training the movement technique. The purpose of the presented test system is to find the source of limited mobility with little additional equipment and in the shortest possible time. A chart facilitating the testing is added to the paper for better understanding of the additional tests.
