In the thesis I planned measuring system with the task of measuring the liquid level in the tank fecal container. I designed a measuring system that is designed to withstand the conditions of the automotive industry with various substances in the liquid being measured. Results of my measurement system are shown in a program that is easy for each user.
First I had to review of all the existing solutions and sensor. I chose two of the most suitable – pressure sensor and capacitive sensor. By selecting a microcontroller, which is used as an interface between the sensor and the user interface, I show the measured data. The measuring conditions were done at home with house hold sources (deep freeze, heat fan). After measurements, I found that the capacitive sensor is sensitive to various changes in the fluid. So when distilled water or water with debris and dense foam, sensor behaved differently than in normal water. Pressure sensor is operated constantly even in water with debris and thick foam, but there have been major changes at low and high temperatures. Upon completion of all testing, I collected information and edited in tables and graphs. I went on to calculate the absolute and relative error and repeatability. In the end, I would use the pressure sensor because it is more reliable, more accurate and easy to install in the tank measured.
