Slovene language sources, such as the ortography guides Slovenski pravopis andthe two corpora Fidaplus and Naša beseda, are analysed with regard to translation of names and culturally specific terms for the linguistic combination French-Slovene. Some examples from recent translation are discussed with regard to whether they have followed the guideliness, how appropriate are their solutions and the likely translation tendencies in the future.
