In the production of domestic products from materials such as aluminium, pertinax and PVC, we face the problem of finding the right supplier who will produce products of different materials for us, in addition to the fact that the products are produced within the time and financial frameworks. Today, we are faced with rising prices of raw materials and waiting times for the sale of products to order are getting longer and longer.
Due to the desire to be self-sufficient with these products, designed and manufactured a CNC router (eng. Computer numerical control router)It is a computer controlled machine with milling cutters or milling heads for machining metal, wood and other solid materials. It is possible to mill with an accuracy of at least ± 0.5 mm. It will be capable of milling in all three dimensions of space: lenght, width and depth.
The thesis describes the design and manufacture of a CNC machine for milling objects with dimensions up to 750 x 750 x 100 mm (L x W x D). Since the machine will mostly be used for milling wood, pertinax and aluminium, it is designed in such a way that the structure will withstand the milling forces and the resulting vibrations. The milling motor is capable of milling into the material with the given speed of movement of the stepper motors.
With the final product, I achived that the machine is capable of accurate and efficient milling even in harder materials. I achieved the desired needs for home use and also comparability with commercial machines of all designs.
