Among the technical elements, teachers devote the most time to practice handling and throwing. For boys and girls, one-basket games dominate, the most popular of which is the 3 : 3 one-basket game. School competitions are organized by 41.9 % of primary schools. The differences between teaching in Novo mesto and the surrounding area are visible in the implementation of extracurricular activities, cooperation with local clubs and participation in the Košarkaški superšolar competition.
