Izvleček
Cilj diplomskega dela je bil pridobiti podatke o pojavnosti, anatomski lokaciji, tipu, mehanizmu nastanka, obdobju in resnosti športnih poškodb v odbojki.

Naslov:Incidence and frequency of sports injuries in volleyball
Izvleček:
The aim of our thesis was to collect data of incidence, anatomic location, type, mechanism, occurrence period and severity of sports injuries in volleyball. The survey included 40 male and female volleyball players who competed in the 1st National Volleyball League in the 2017/18 competition season. All players filled out a survey questionnaire containing some personal information (gender, weight, height, age, playing position) and a set of 16 closed-type questions. We watched the players prospectively in the 2017/18 competition season. The obtained data was statistically processed using the SPSS software package. The graphs were made using software Microsoft Excel. We found a total incidence of injuries of 2.08 in males and 0.53 in women per 1000 hours of sports activity. The incidence of injuries was higher during games (10.29 in men and 1.65 in women) than in training (1.09 in men and 0.39 in women). In men, most of the injuries occurred during the competition period and 54% of injuries during games; in women, half of the injuries occurred in the preparation and half during the competition period, and 63% of the injuries occurred in training. The most frequently damaged region of the body was the lower limb, and the anatomical location was ankle joint (62.5%) in females and knee (23.08%) in men. Women were the most affected by joints (62.5%) and men by tendons (38.5%) and joints (30.8%). The mechanism of injury was largely of a non-contact nature for both sexes. The severity of injuries in men was negligible and light, and in women it was light and moderate.
