Abstract

Title:Edge bending of air spring plate
Abstract:
Airtightness is critical for the proper functioning of the air spring. At crimped design where edge of bead plate is crimped over flexmember appropriate compression ratio is required which ensures airtightness. With Abaqus software package we simulated crimped design of bead plate and flexmember from regular production of air spring manufacturer with intention of reducing time for tool manufacturing. The simulation results were compared, evaluated and supported with actual measurements from regular production.
