The master's thesis studies the comparison of the word order in simple sentences in the German and Slovene language. The German language distinguishes between three types of sentences that accurately determine the position of verbal forms in sentences. These form the sentence frame, which is the basic building template in German sentences. The norm prescribes that in simple narrative sentences personal verb forms are located in the second position, while non-personal verb forms are located at the end. Such frames are unknown in the Slovene language and the verb forms in the predicate have a predominantly central position. Thus, the phrase in the sentence must satisfy the syntactic and communicative factors that are interconnected. The work focuses on the rules of the constant and the possibility of the free word order in sentences. The purpose and aim of the master's thesis is the comparison of the sentence pattern or word order in simple sentences in both languages using the contrastive model for language comparison, part of which is also the placement of Slovene sentences into The master's thesis studies the comparison of the word order in simple sentences in the German and Slovene language.
