Libraries and Archives collaborated to create standards for the description of library and archival material, which are considered at creating records. However, on national level they create descriptions independently one from another. On this way the effort at creating descriptions often doubles. Creators from north Primorska from France Bevk Public Library and Regional Archives Nova Gorica were used to make a comparison. 10 cases of personal names and 16 cases of corporate names from Cobiss.si (Conor.si) and SIRAnet matched and were used to establish, if libraries and Archives are making the descriptions of personal and corporative names in a similar way. The comparison showed that the records are similar but each institution emphasizes different information. For Archives the context (administrative history, administrative structure, dates of creation), while to libraries different forms of names, are more important. In the conclusion, there is a proposal of a web portal which would combine general information about a person or corporation, authority data from both authority databases, links to connected persons and corporations and locations to the Archives and libraries who keep the material
