Abstract
V obeh smo popisali, premerili in analizirali vsa drevesa navadnega koprivovca.

Title:Charasteristics of two potential seed stands of Nettle tree (Celtis australis L.) in Slovenia
Abstract:
Nettle tree (Celtis australis L.) is a tree species that appears in Slovenia in small numbers in a very limited area of the country. It has exceptionally good wood, it is adapted to drought, it grows on almost any type of soil, it is resistant to diseases, pests and pollution. Until now Nettle tree has been used mainly as an ornamental tree in urban environments. Due to its listed properties it would be quite suitable for the afforestation of stone surfaces in Karst and for an experimental introduction in Slovenian Submediterranean forests. The main obstacle to the artificial regeneration of the Nettle tree is the absence of its seed stands for the production of seeds. This project presents and describes two stands in which the Nettle tree appears in larger numbers. The first stand is located in Brestovica pri Komnu and the second one in Opatje selo. The trees in both stands were recorded and measured. The collected parameters for each stand were analysed and compared. The results showed that the stands are fairly similar, and mostly of medium quality. With appropriate tending, they could be suitable as seed stands.
