In our the master's thesis, we researched the expirience of the professional burnout of educational workers, who dealing with Roma children. Research participants were during the phenomenological interview at least four years in process of pursuing a profession in area of education od Roma children.
The working and domestic environment are essential for symptomatology, which leads to professional exhaustion. The two environments often work complementary and events from one environment often influence the events in the other.
With our research we have gained an insight into how educational workers perceive Roma children and the problematics of the Roma population. The participators in this study are aware of the specifics which plague the Roma population. These people are often under pressure in their roles as educators and can as a consequence often ignore these specifics.
With this study we have gained an insight in to experiencing professional exhaustion of educational workers, which work with Roma children. With our conducted interviews we have gained a better understanding of how work influences; the working processes, domestic and work relationships and the Roma children. We would like to point out preventative measures to combat work related exhaustion, which is crucial to prevent symptoms which lead to work exhaustion.
