To write a thesis entitled Analysis of the use of selected services on the eUprava portal, I decided on my connection to the service. In my own workplace, I was receiving applications for the acquisition and cancellation of a web-qualified digital certificate for physical persons. Since the demand for digital certificates was high, I was interested in whether these digital certificates are also used to obtain and edit administrative matters on the eUprava portal.
The purpose of the diploma work is to analyse the use of electronic services in the last few years with the aim to determining how widespread their use is primarily in comparison with the use of administrative services in the classical way.
The main part of the diploma work is an empirical survey of the use of administrative services. In it, I analysed the obtained data on the number of services used both on the eUprava portal and at administrative units in individual years for the period 2013–2015. In the analysis, I took in to account the size of administrative units (according to the number of inhabitants) and groups of administrative services (as reported in official statistics of administrative units).
Based on the research work, I found that the use of the eUprava portal is very modest in selected administrative services groups and that it fluctuates over the years. I believe that some measures could make it possible to make greater use of electronic administrative services.
The results of the research work are useful both in the research sphere (as a basis for further analyses and comparisons) as well as for the professional public. As assured by the Ministry of Public Administration, similar researches have not yet been carried out, but it would be very welcome for the future development of the eUprava portal itself.
