Thesis was formed with the purpose and on the basis of scientific findings on electronic storage with the theoretical basis and practical examples to present the process of electronic storage in the case of Radio Slovenia and the consequences that it has on the public institution and the impact digitization has made on it. Since the completion of this process coincided with the beginning of this thesis, comparable survey in Slovenia has not been able to exist, therefore, offers us a unique insight into the topic. The main methods used were descriptive and the compilation of a study of domestic and foreign literature, comparison of different practices in the surveyed area and the analysis of the documents and the information obtained. The theoretical part presents the basics of archiving, electronic storage and retention of sound, which was used in the practical part, where we analysed the changes made on how Radio Slovenia works. We found that as a result of the digitization of broadcasting services and, consequently, on Radio Slovenia major changes have been encountered. They concern the whole structure of the public institution, in addition to employees, it also has an impact on listeners. In comparison with similar practises in some of the other countries, we found that the capture of the material and the establishment of a system of electronic storage was carried out professionally and in a timely manner. The task serves as a good example of how to deal with electronic storage with an emphasis on the retention of sound as solutions across the whole of the field and the findings may be useful for those who will like the project to be worked out.
