In the following master’s thesis a study was presented the production of small-sized test product made of polypropylene, injection molded into a prototype polymeric tool, which is manufactured using rapid tooling technology Polyjet. With the successfully integrated polymer tool into existing modified tool, we have provided faster preparation for the process and increased its flexibility. For the purpose of more efficient cooling of the polymer tool, a conformal cooling channel was built below the surface of the product cavity. In the process of injection molding with soft tooling technology we made 60 test products with different basic process parameters on which we analyzed the influence of the parameters on the dimensions, shapes and defects of the products. Based on the cooling test of the tool with the cooling channel, a strong influence of cooling was observed despite the poor thermal conductivity of the material of the polymeric tool.
