Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava problem bralne pismenosti v Prekmurju. Na podlagi teoretičnega dela predstavlja odnos, ki ga imajo učenci do pouka slovenščine, ter njihove bralne navade. Prav tako z različnimi vprašanji, ki se nanašajo na priloženo besedilo, prikaže njihove različne bralne sposobnosti. Empirični del je sestavljen iz dveh delov, iz analize anketnega vprašalnika, ki so ga reševali učenci, in analize anketnega vprašalnika, ki so ga reševali učitelji. Analiza anket, ki so jih reševali učenci, je pokazala, da imajo učenci radi slovenščino, da imajo dekleta boljše ocene kot fantje, prav tako pa dekleta raje berejo romane kot pa fantje. Učna snov pri slovenščini je zanimiva skoraj polovici učencev, vendar pa učenci malo berejo in še to večinoma časopise in revije. Učitelji so deljenega mnenja glede pismenosti v Prekmurju, 44 % učiteljev meni, da je pismenost nizka, 48 % učiteljev pa meni, da je zadovoljiva. Menijo pa, da so za razvijanje pismenosti odgovorni starši in vsi strokovni delavci na šoli. Večinoma so zadovoljni z rezultati, ki jih njihovi učenci dosegajo pri nacionalnem preverjanju znanja, temu pa dajejo velik pomen in menijo, da bi morali te rezultate še bolj upoštevati. S prikazom svojih aktivnosti so pokazali, da se za razvijanje pismenosti trudijo in si želijo, da bi se izboljšala.

Abstract:
Master's thesis deals with the problem of reading literacy in Prekmurje. On the basis of the theoretical part, thesis shows the relationship that student have to Slovenian lessons and their reading habits. Also with the questions related to the text it shows reading skills of students. The empirical part consists of two parts, the analysis of the questionnaire, which was solved by the students, and analysis of the questionnaire, which was solved by the teachers. Analysis of the questionnaire, solved by the students, showed that students like Slovenian language. It also showed that girls have better grades than boys and also girls prefer to read novels than boys. Learning material in Slovenian lessons is interesting for almost half of the students, but they read a little and mostly newspapers and magazines. Teachers are divided on literacy in Prekmurje, 44 % of teachers believes that literacy is bad, 48 % of teacher believes that is good. It is believed, however, that for the development of literacy parents and all professional staff in the school are responsible. Most of them are satisfied with the results achieved by their students in national examination. They believe that these results are important and that they should be further considered. Teachers are using different methods to develop literacy of the students
