Abstract
Raziskovala in analizirala sem izvajanje dejavnosti v naravi s področja matematike in s pomočjo naravnih materialov.

Title:Learning mathematical concepts in natural enviroment
Abstract:
The thesis work: The introduction of mathematical activities in the natural environment deals with the fields of mathematics in connection with the natural sciences.. The natural environment can be a very stimulating learning environment rich in natural learning material. There are three ways presented of performing activities in nature. The first learning activety takes place in the forest, than its surroudings and the last one is implemented along the stream. The design and the integration of mathematics within the fields are activities like: sorting, arranging, sampling, editing, measuring, counting, shaping and lineing involves a concept based on the Reggio Emilia concept. In the first or theoretical part of the thesis the mathematics is presented as the curriculum, intergration of the interdepartmenal mathemetics, outdoor learning and the concept of Reggio Emilia. In the empirical part of the thesis, there are five activities presented in the nature that I performed at the Nursery, in Ljubljana with a combined group of children. I have been researching and analyzing the activities in nature in the field of mathematics and natural materials. My resaults showed me that the implementation of mathematical activities in nature has a positively influence on children and therefore the progress in understanding.
