The master's thesis is dealing with the sexism in a spontaneous formal public discourse. In the theoretical part, the basic discourse concepts are presented. Discourse is a very broad concept, and therefore several definitions and views of the discourse are presented. It also identifies types of discourse, detailed spontaneous formal public discourse. An example of such a discourse by the master's thesis discussed in more detail, is the talk show in live Polnočni klub. Then followed by the presentation of critical discourse analysis as an approach to the analysis of talk shows, different views on language and gender, and dealing with this subject in slovene language. Exposed to the sexism in slovene language and problematic categories. There are exposed two categories, generic use of male and surnames of female persons. Then the study focuses on indirect sexism, exposed are stereotypes, humor and irony. At the end of the theoretical part it is presented also addressing guests in the talk show. The empirical part includes an analysis of the four talk shows Polnočni klub. Analysis is serving to determine the differences between the leaders of the talk shows, men and women, the use of gender sensitive speech or language in a conversation with the guests award.
