Efficiency of planning and production process in woodworking company is closely attached to organizational, technological and also informatics changes. Importance of informatics changes is increasing faster and faster, nowadays. Companies are realizing that management and leadership can not be controlled in acquired level any more. Data bases became too big for operating with them successfully. Suitable informatics aspects are needed to provide total control within the process again. The number of daily orders is increasing every day. Orders are becoming more complex than they used to be. Product series are getting smaller and smaller. Product supply is very diverseand widespread now. Customers prefer unique products or products made especially for them. Beside all that the time of delivery is now shortened to minimum time possible. Basic problems within the production process management in a woodworking company were analysed, and new alternative solutions on a modelling level found. Methodology consists of 4 separate phases. First one includes the analyses from the informatics point of view of the production planning process. Second phase includes modelling of that process, using eEPC model in ARIS software tool, showing the basic problems in informatics support of production management, like: order sorting, checking material storages, accompanying production process, etc. Third phase explains all the problems and defines additional details. Forth phase finds alternative solutions for those problems; some of them being of special interest like: integration of APS software tool in the existing informatics company system, new system for printing the required working commission, etc.
