Changes are very common in today's business world. Interfering well-established habits and processes in working environments and therefore creating new market opportunities, available resources and risks, requires from organizations to adapt quickly. Changes in society also mean changes in the organization’s environment. Performance of renovation of organization's operating model depends on the current organizational culture, organizational climate and key factors such as employees, end users and available resources needed for renovation.
The main purpose of this master thesis is to examine and analyse organization’s operating. The main goal is renovation of organization’s operating model. After proposing renovation of organization’s operating model comparison of the model before and after the renovation was made. Methodological approach is based on survey, participatory observation method and innovative work methods. With the help of survey, research was made regarding presence of similar organizations that are part of public faculties in Slovenia and carry out a form of additional education and can be compared with the selected organization. Also, research enables insight into how saturated the market of additional education is. With the help of participatory observation method, analysis of the current state was made; comparison of criteria and establishment of the balanced scorecard system was made as well in order to measure the performance before and after the renovation.
Result of the research is a proposal of organization’s operating model renovation in the selected organization which introduced many changes in its working environment and processes. Using innovative work methods enabled co-creation and joint implementation of changes as well as democratic decision making of everyone involved, which resulted in thoughtful and effective changes regardless of their rapid implementation. Result of the research is new tool, which can serve for wider use in different organizations with certain adjustments.
