The thesis describes design, construction, manfacturing and programming of the
signifier machine.
A signer is a device that signifies or denotes a particular text or graphics on a particular
surface. In the manufacturing industry, where different products are manufactured, each
product needs to have its own code. The code can be product code, date of manufacture or any other data. The signing can already be made in the mold of the product, or can subsequently be written with a laser, a signer, or some other method.
In our case, some things have already been written in the mold of the product, so the
inscription was already on the product and only one code has to be written by the signifier
afterwards.
The task of the signifier is to fix the product into the bed, and write the code on the
product with the built-in signer. It is made for 2 different pieces - left and right. Sensor detects which piece is present and indicates the code for the left or the right piece.
In the thesis I described the composition of the machine, including a detailed
presentation of all components, their operation and a PLC program.
