Abstract
Spremembe so stalnica, ki se jim mora prilagajati tudi javna uprava. Njeno delovanje teži k čim večji uspešnosti zadovoljevanja potreb odjemalcev, ki pričakujejo prijazne in zadovoljne javne uslužbence. Zaposleni na delovnem mestu preživijo precejšen del svojega življenja, zato je pomembno, kakšno je delovno okolje in kako se počutijo na delovnem mestu. Le zadovoljni in motivirani zaposleni lahko dosegajo zadane cilje ter večjo predanost organizaciji. Magistrsko delo predstavlja vpliv vodenja na zavzetost zaposlenih na izbranih upravnih enotah. Teoretični del temelji na poglobljenem preučevanju strokovne in znanstvene literature ter virov svetovnega spleta. Raziskava je bila izvedena s kvantitativnim pristopom ob uporabi metode ankete. Pomen rezultatov je bil analiziran s pomočjo metode deskripcije in komperativne metode ter statističnih metod pri preverjanju hipotez. Ugotovitve lastne ter drugih domačih in tujih raziskav, temeljijo na predpostavki, da ima na posameznika največji vpliv neposredni vodja in njegov stil vodenja. Skozi raziskavo je bilo ugotovljeno, da na izbranih upravnih enotah največ vodij uporablja participativni stil in, da ta stil ustreza le 19 od 56 zaposlenim, ti so zavzeti in popolnoma prisotni v delovnem procesu. Ostalim zaposlenim pa je potrebno za povečanje zavzetosti, nameniti več pozornosti. Delovanje javne uprave je vezano na proračun, zakonodajo in predpise, omejeni so nagrajevanje, razvoj in usposabljanje zaposlenih. V ospredje je potrebno postaviti angažiranost vodij za spodbujanje zavzetosti zaposlenih. Pomembno je, da ugotavljamo stopnjo zavzetosti zaposlenih v organizaciji in s tem pridobimo sliko trenutnega stanja, ki je odličen pokazatelj za prihodnost.

Title:RESEARCH OF INTERACTION BETWEEN LEADERSHIP AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT IN SELECTED ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS
Abstract:
Changes are a constant, to which the public sector must adapt. Its operation aims to maximize the performance in satisfying the needs of customers, who expect friendly and satisfied employees in the public sector. Employees spend a lot of their life in their workplace, therefore it is very importnant for them what kind of work enviorment they have and how they feel during work. Only happy and motivated employees can achieve the goals set by the public sector. The master's thesis is the influence of leadership on the employee engagement to selected administrative units. The theoretical part is based on in depth study of professional and scientific literature and sources of the World Wide Web. The survey was carried out with a quantitative approach using the survey method. The significance of the results was analyzed using the descriptor and the comperative methods and statistical methods in the verification of hypotheses. Conclusions from my own research, as well as domestic and international research are based on the assumption that the direct influence of the individual leader and his management style is greatest. Through the survey, it was found that in selected administrative units most leaders use participatory style and, that this style suits to only 19 out of 56 employees, they are committed and fully involved in the work process. Other employees need to pay more attention to increase their commitment. The operating of public sector depends on the budget, legislation and regulations. The rewards, development and education of employees are limited as well. The main task of leaders is to encourage the engagement of employees. It is very important to keep track of the level of employee engagement and use this information to see the current condition of engagement, which is a great indicator for the future.
