Abstract
Uvod: Prezgodnji porod je stresen tako za otroka kot za starše. Prezgodaj rojen otrok se fizično bistveno razlikuje od donošenega otroka, mati pa obenem doživlja strah, stres ter veliko negotovosti. Vzpostavitev dojenja pri prezgodaj rojenem otroku je lahko velik izziv, zaradi nezrelosti otrokovih organov ter oteženega sesanja, požiranja in dihanja. Namen: Predstaviti dojenje prezgodaj rojenega otroka ter težave s katerimi se srečuje preostala družina, otrok ter zdravstveni delavci. Metode: V diplomski nalogi je bila uporabljena deskriptivna metoda dela s pregledom literature na področju dojenja prezgodaj rojenih otrok, vloge staršev ter zdravstvenega osebja. Literatura je bila najdena z iskanjem preko tujih podatkovnih baz kot so CINAHL in PubMed. Razprava in sklep: Dojenje je najboljši način hranjenja za prezgodaj rojenega otroka. Zagotavlja zaščito pred okužbami ter alergijami, prav tako pa ima pozitiven vpliv na kognitivni razvoj otroka. Pri odločitvi matere za dojenje ima velik vpliv tudi zdravstveno osebje. Pomembno je, da starše podpirajo in poučujejo o prednostih dojenja za otroka in mater. Zdravstveno osebje mora biti primerno usposobljeno za svetovanje staršem o dojenju ter poučeno o nedavnih raziskavah na področju dojenja prezgodaj rojenih otrok. Izobraževanja zdravstvenega osebja so se pokazala kot učinkovita pri svetovanju materam glede dojenja.

Title:
Breastfeeding premature infants : literature review
Abstract:
Introduction: premature birth is stressful for the infant and also for parents. Premature newborn is psychically very different than the term newborn and on the other side mother is dealing with fear, stress and insecurity. Establishing of breastfeeding for premature can be a big challenge because of newborn's immature organs and difficulties with sucking, swallowing and breathing. Purpose: of this thesis is to introduce breastfeeding of a premature and difficulites faced by families, newborns and health care personnel. Methods: that has been used in this thesis was the descriptive research method with a review of the literature in the field of breastfeeding prematures, role of parents and nurses. Literature was retrieved by searching through foreign databases such as CINAHL and PubMed. Discussion and conclusion: breastfeeding is the best way of feeding a premature. It provides protection against infections and allergies, as well as having a positive impact on the cognitive development of the child. Health care personnel has a great impact on the mother on the decision about breastfeeding. It is important to support and teach parents about the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and premature. Health care personnel should be adequately trained to advise parents about breastfeeding and informed on recent research in the field of breastfeeding prematures. Training of health care personnel has been shown to be effective in advising mothers regarding breastfeeding.
