Abstract
Osnovnošolsko izobraževanje je v Republiki Sloveniji obvezno in kot del tega je v javni osnovni šoli obvezen tudi predmet gospodinjstvo, ki vključuje vsebine, ki so pomembne za kakovostno življenje posameznika v družini in družbi. Predmet je v javni osnovni šoli nadgrajen še z izbirnima predmetoma Načini prehranjevanja in Sodobna priprava hrane. Ta dva izbirna predmeta vključujeta številne vsebine in omogočata več praktičnega dela ter sta nadgradnja snovi, ki se obravnava pri pouku gospodinjstva. Vsebin gospodinjstva pa se učenci ne učijo samo v javni osnovni šoli, temveč tudi v zasebni osnovni šoli Montessori. Namen diplomskega dela je identificirati vsebine in vsebinska področja gospodinjstva v učnih načrtih javne osnovne šole in zasebne osnovne šole Montessori. Uporabljena je bila kvalitativna metoda raziskovanja. Za identifikacijo razlik med učnimi načrti javne osnovne šole in zasebne osnovne šole Montessori je bila uporabljena vsebinska analiza dokumentov, ki zajema pregled predmetnika in učnih načrtov predmeta gospodinjstvo v obeh omenjenih šolah. Z analizo dokumentov je bilo ugotovljeno, da se vsebine gospodinjstva bistveno ne razlikujejo. V zasebni osnovni šoli Montessori ni predmeta gospodinjstvo, vendar so vsebine predmeta, ki se izvaja v javni osnovni šoli, vključene v različne predmete, ki se izvajajo v različnih vzgojno-izobraževalnih obdobjih. Nekatere vsebine zasledimo že v prvem triletju in se nadaljujejo tudi v zadnje triletje, kjer se nekatere le še nadgradijo z že znanimi. V primerjavi z javno osnovno šolo imajo v zasebni šoli že na splošno veliko več praktičnega dela in dela po skupinah ter projektnega dela. Ocenjujem, da bi bilo tudi v javnih šolah primerno vključevati vsebine gospodinjstva v vse vzgojno-izobraževalne nivoje ter izvajanje pouka usmeriti k usvajanju praktičnih veščin učencev.

Title:Contents of home economics in Montessori elementary school
Abstract:
Elementary school education is obligatory in the Republic of Slovenia. A part of the public elementary education is a subject of “Home Economics”, which includes contents that contribute to individual's quality of life in family and society. The subject in public elementary schools is upgraded with two optional subjects, “Different Dieting” and “Contemporary food preparations”. Those two subjects include various contents and enable a more practical work and are also an upgrade from the previous lessons of “Home Economics.” Those contents are also taught in Montessori private elementary schools. The goal of this Thesis is to identify contents and specific content fields of two different syllabuses in Slovenian public elementary schools and in Montessori private elementary schools. I have used qualitative research methods. I have analysed the differences between the syllabus of public Slovenian schools and private Montessori schools using the content analysis of documents, considering the curriculum and contents of both schools’ Home Economics related subjects. Analysis has shown that the content is not much different. In private Montessori schools, they don't have the Home Economics subject, however, the contents are included in other lessons, which are implemented in different educational periods. Some contents are already included in the first triennial and are gradually continued to the last triennial, where some are upgraded by the learned knowledge. In comparison with public elementary schools, the private Montessori schools demand more practical work, group work, and project work. I evaluate that public schools should also include contents of Home Economics in all educational levels and that the emphasis should be on directing the pupils to learn more practical skills.
