Handball is a dynamic, high-intensity game. During handball game, the players are constantly in movement including fast and slow running, sideway moves, jumps… Handball game requires development of almost all motors skills especially strength, speed, coordination and flexibility. To improve those skills we have to include physical preparation in the annual training plan. Besides technique and tactics preparation, great physical performance is crucial for success. Training plan for physical preparation presented in this Bachelor’s thesis should work for all teams performing in Slovenian women's handball league. In this training plan we tried to include all the contents crucial for improving important motor skills. We found a solution for hypertrophy training demining longer training periods. For periods of matches we tried to coordinate technique-tactic trainings with trainings for physical preparation with goal of maintaining optimal physical condition. With better organization and content of trainings we could improve the level of Slovenian women's handball, advance the development of young players and decrease the number of injuries.
