Abstract
Uvod: Pri usposabljanju iz prve pomoči je mogoče za dosego želenih ciljev uporabiti različne učne metode. Med drugim tudi simulacije, ki predstavljajo eno izmed aktivnih oblik učenja. V simulacijah lahko uporabimo simulirane scenarije, s pomočjo katerih lahko dajanje pomoči približamo realnim razmeram. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je ovrednotiti učinkovitost uporabe scenarijev pri usposabljanju iz prve pomoči. Cilj diplomskega dela je ugotoviti, ali uporaba scenarijev pri usposabljanju iz prve pomoči pripomore k boljšemu izvajanju praktičnih ukrepov prve pomoči, kako udeleženci usposabljanja ocenjujejo uporabo scenarijev pri usposabljanju z vidika koristnosti ter ali bi si želeli več vaditi na ta način. Metode dela: Opravljen je bil kritičen pregled strokovne in znanstvene slovenske ter angleške literature s področja prve pomoči, z osredotočenostjo na uporabo simulacij oziroma scenarijev pri usposabljanju. V diplomskem delu je bila uporabljena eksperimentalna metoda dela. V vzorec smo zajeli 65 študentov Zdravstvene fakultete Ljubljana. Pri eksperimentalni skupini smo za usposabljanje iz prve pomoči uporabili scenarije, v kontrolni skupini pa med usposabljanjem nismo uporabili scenarijev. Podatke smo na koncu usposabljanja pridobili s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika in ocenjevalnega lista, s katerim smo ocenjevali študente med praktičnim preizkusom. Rezultati: Pri praktičnem preizkusu, kjer so bili študenti naprošeni za dajanje pomoči nezavestni osebi po udaru električnega toka (dihanje je bilo prisotno) so študenti iz eksperimentalne skupine v primerjavi s študenti iz kontrolne skupine prikazali višjo raven znanja. Študentom obeh skupin se zdi uporaba scenarijev pri usposabljanju iz prve pomoči koristna učna metoda in bi si želeli še več vaditi na ta način. Razprava in zaključek: Naša raziskava je pokazala, da predhodno usposabljanje s pomočjo simuliranih scenarijev pozitivno vpliva oziroma izboljša ukrepanje pri nudenju pomoči v primeru simulirane nesreče. Ker se zdi ta pristop tudi študentom učinkovit, bi bilo simulirane scenarije smiselno bolj vključiti v usposabljanja iz prve pomoči.

Simulation-based first aid training : research report
Abstract:
Introduction: To achieve desired goals in the first aid training, different learning methods can be used. We can use simulation which represents one of the active forms of learning. Within the simulations, we can choose simulated scenarios to bring more reality into the learning process. Purpose: The purpose of this final thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of scenario-based first aid training. The aim is to determine whether the use of scenarios improves the provided first aid, how do participants of the training assess the use of scenarios in terms of usefulness and whether they would like to practice more with this method. Methods: We made a critical review of Slovene and English literature in the field of first aid focusing on the use of simulations and scenario-based training. We used the experimental method. We included 65 students of Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana. The experimental group was unlike the control group exposed to scenario-based learning during first aid training. The data were collected with a questionnaire and evaluation paper, which enabled us to assess the students during the practical test. Results: In a practical test, where students were asked to provide first aid to an unconscious person after an electric shock (breathing was present), students from the experimental group, in comparison with the students from the control group, showed a higher level of knowledge. Students from both groups think that simulated scenarios are a useful method for learning and they would like this method to be used more often. Discussion and conclusion: Our research has shown that pre-training with simulated scenarios improves provided first aid in case of a simulated accident. Since this approach seems to be beneficial for students as well, it would be reasonable to include more simulated scenarios in first aid training.
