The master’s thesis deals with the problem of pellets drying with drying chamber in pharmaceutical industry. The development of the drying chamber consisted of examining the present existing solutions, designing the air-conditioning system, choosing the installed
components and the construction. The manufacture was followed by the installation on the
site and the necessary measurements with which we verified the overall functionality of the device. The drying chamber had to provide a convenient range of temperature, humidity and drying air flow. The measurements were performed with gauges needed for the drying chamber system performance and with their reference gauges. The testing of the system showed that all the required parameters were met without difficulties. With video analysis we confirmed that humidifiers in HVAC are suitable and that they don’t cause any condensation. In addition, the temperature range throughout the drying chamber was examined and the results did not show substantial differences in the air temperature at individual measuring points.
