Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava varjenje grelnika žarilne čepne svečke po TIG postopku in z laserjem, ker se je z začetkom varjenja na avtomatski montažni liniji povečal izmet. Velik delež izmeta je posledica težav z varjenjem. V prvem delu magistrskega dela je pregled literature na temo varilnih postopkov, uporabnih za varjenje grelnika žarilne čepne svečke in glavne napake v materialih, ki nastanejo kot posledica varjenja. V nadaljevanju so opisani materiali, ki se jih vari, njihove lastnosti in uporabnost. Sledi eksperimentalni del varjenje dveh različnih grelnikov in analiza, s pomočjo katere bomo poizkušali zmanjšati izmet oziroma optimirati varjenje na avtomatski montažni liniji. Z eksperimenti in analizami smo pri grelniku A znižali izmet iz 4,5 % na 1,6 %. Rezultati merjenja trdot grelnikov podajajo ustrezno kakovost zvarov. Kljub kakovostnim varom rezultati električnih karakteristik grelnika B niso zadovoljivi.

Title:TIG welding of the plug part for cold ignition of diesel engines
Abstract:
The Master’s thesis discusses welding of a glow plug heater according to the TIG procedure and with a laser, since the scrap increased with the start of welding at the automated production line. A large fraction of the waste is due to welding problems. The first part of the thesis provides an overview of literature about welding procedures, used for welding of the glow plug heater, and about main defects in materials because of welding. We then describe welding materials, their characteristics and usability. This is followed by the experimental part about welding two different heaters and by the analysis, with the helo of which we will try to decrease the scrap or optimise the welding at the automated production line. Through experiments and analysis we reduced the scrap of heater A from 4,5 % to 1,6 %. Measuring the heaters' hardness showed a proper quality of the welds. Despite the high quality of the welds the results of the electrical characteristics of heater B were not satisfactory.
