The goal of the thesis is to present the internet users with a responsive web design on an example which is fairly known to a large population. As an example we took the hribi.net website, which is currently not adapted for smaller screens, such as mobile phones, tablet computers, etc. Based on this page, we planned the user experience and designed the appearance of its most visited sites, which were the entry page, presentation of each mountain and presentation of the trip. More emphasis was devoted to the responsive form as this is one of the key problems that currently appears on this page.
In the theoretical part, we expose the main problem of the web page hribi.net. We explain the term responsive design, what it means to have a responsive design and why this form of websites is very important nowadays. We present the strengths and weaknesses of responsive sites and the main component on which responsive design is based. Because the importance of user experience on mobile phones today is gradually rising, we present a design method that starts with the mobile version and is later adjusted for the desktop version. We also present and analyse the examples of similar websites, which were used for inspiration during the design process and planning of the finished product.
The final design is based on a number of parameters, which were obtained through a survey. The final image of the website hribi.net is made for a mobile screen that is 320 px wide.
