Abstract
Nanos apreture je izboljšal rezultate testov barvne obstojnosti.

Title:Design of kitchen linen with thermochromic dye and application of water and oil repellent finish
Abstract:
By combining Slovenian and Syrian embroidery motifs, I designed various collections of print patterns, for the purpose of screen printing kitchen textiles. I got into the details of origin and meaning of specific motifs. With increasing number of Syrian refugees in Slovenia in mind, designs were made as a call to action towards more tolerance and awareness. For the process of screen printing, I used ordinary pigments and thermochromic dyes. With the latter, I was particularly interested in the possibility of mixing them with ordinary printing pigments. I tested the selected printing pastes on a fabric that was later used for the production of printed textile. Since the printed textile is to be used in the kitchen environment, I applied water and oil repellent finish and performed tests of colour fastness, resistance to artificial light, rubbing, domestic and commercial laundering and hot pressing. The application of the apreture has greatly improved the colour fastness of all samples.
