Abstract

Title:
MTM methods and the comparison with the Jack's simulation tools for a handling process
Abstract:
In this written assignment, we research and analyse the MTM method, the purpose of which are in general to ergonomically design the working place and to predetermine the time of a handling and assembly process. Besides the mentioned methods, we researched Jack simulations tools which calculate the times based on the MTM methods and in the end we compared the results we got from the both methods applied to a specific example. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we presented the MTM methods and Jack simulations tools and therefore all the handling and assembly operations that are needed to make the time analysis of a chosen process. The conditions and hypotheses used in the calculations and simulations are also described in details. The key part of the thesis is the comparative analysis of the results we got from the MTM methods and the Jack simulation tools for the discussed process, presented with tables and graphs. This analysis confirmed that Jack tools calculate the times based on the MTM methods. In the conclusion, we presented the main findings and indications for further work.
