This work investigates the determination of heat transfer coefficient in nucleate pool boiling of pure fluids. Boiling is one of the most effective and technically manageable mechanisms of heat transfer. The comparison between seven different methods for determination of heat transfer coefficient in nucleate pool boiling of pure substances was made. This work investigates the nucleate pool boiling of 57 different pure fluids with 1126 measured values of the heat transfer coefficient. In addition to the analysed reduced pressure dependency we introduced the reduced temperature dependency of the heat transfer coefficient in nucleate pool boiling. The reduced pressure represents the quotient of saturation pressure and critical pressure, while reduced temperature represents the quotient of saturation temperature and critical temperature. The performed analysis shows promise in using reduced temperature to determine the heat transfer coefficient in nucleate pool boiling.
