Abstract
Uporabili smo kvantitativno in kvalitativno raziskovalno metodo. Katalogizatorji so bili z modulom COBISS3/Katalogizacija zadovoljni.

Abstract:
Introducing the COBISS3/Cataloguing module implied a contemporary user interface and changes in updating local databases and union catalogue in the context of broad system modifications. The purpose of the master's thesis was to evaluate the COBISS3/Cataloguing module from cataloguers' point of view. We wanted to find out whether cataloguers were satisfied with the cataloguing module. Its advantages/disadvantages and impact on quality of bibliographic records were examined. Also cataloguers' opinions about centralized cataloguing and next generation user interface adapted to new cataloguing rules, were explored. A combination of quantitative and qualitative research method was used. 133 cataloguers were surveyed via an online questionnaire, only cataloguers who possessed the cataloguing licence and who had created the highest number of bibliographic records during the last three years were selected. Afterwards semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 cataloguers. The online survey took place from June to September 2015. Interviews were conducted during April and May 2016 in libraries all over Slovenia. The cataloguers were satisfied with the cataloguing module. A spelling checker and integrated e-manuals were considered the most important advantages and increased use of a computer mouse was found disturbing. Professional training for the COBISS system was estimated rather high, however a need for additional training was observed. Procedures to acquire the cataloguing licence were rated only a little lower. According to cataloguers, the cataloguing centralization was appropriate for smaller public libraries but not for academic and special libraries due to subject analysis and bibliographies. In future we may expect records of higher quality as the module provides good working conditions for cataloguers.
