Abstract
Gospodinjsko izobraževanje omogoča pridobivanje znanj in usvajanje temeljnih življenjskih veščin, potrebnih za smotrno delovanje posameznika, družine in družbe. Gospodinjstvo povezuje vsebinska področja različnih disciplin. Čeprav ima gospodinjstvo v izobraževanju pomembno vlogo, je še vedno pogosto negativno dojemano, kar je povezano z zgodovino discipline gospodinjstvo. Današnja družba še vedno na gospodinjstvo gleda kot na vsebinsko manj zahteven predmet, ki je namenjen sproščanju, zabavi in praktičnim dejavnostim. Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti odnos študentov različnih študijskih smeri na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani do vsebin predmeta gospodinjstvo. Podatki so bili zbrani empirično s spletnim anketiranjem 82 študentov treh različnih študijskih smeri. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da večina študentov meni, da je gospodinjstvo eden izmed vsebinsko lažjih predmetov v osnovni šoli. Z gospodinjstvom najpogosteje povezujejo aktivnosti, povezane s kuhanjem, šivanjem, domom in družino, le redki pa povezujejo namen gospodinjskega izobraževanja s spodbujanjem zdravega načina življenja. Z raziskavo smo ugotovili, da študentje dobro poznajo praktične veščine gospodinjstva, nekoliko manj pa teoretične vsebine. Ugotovili smo tudi, da čeprav študentje gospodinjstvo označujejo kot enega lažjih predmetov, imajo do predmeta pozitiven odnos. Prav tako študentje gospodinjstva in razrednega pouka menijo, da so gospodinjske vsebine pomembne za kakovostno življenje posameznika.

Title:The attitude of students to the home economics
Abstract:
Home economics education enables gaining knowledge and basic life skills, needed for the purpose of an individual, family, and society. Home economics connects contents areas of different disciplines. Even though home economics has an important role in educational system, it is still negatively perceived, which is connected with the history of the discipline home economics. Today's society still thinks about home economics as a less demanding subject, which is meant for relaxation, fun, and practice activities. The purpose of the diploma thesis has been to research attitude to the contents of the subject home economics of the students' of different study groups at the Pedagogical faculty. Data are gathered empirically with a questionnaire of 82 students of three different study groups of Pedagogical faculty Ljubljana. The questionnaire was available for the students online. The analysis of the results has shown that most of the students think that home economics is one of the contents easier subjects. Home economics is mostly connected with activities, connected with cooking, sewing, home, and family, only some connect the meaning of home economics with encouraging healthy way of life. The research has shown that the students know practical skills of home economics very well; they are not that skilled with the theoretical contents. We have also found out that even though the students take home economics as one of the easier subjects, they have positive attitude towards the subject. Students of both study groups think that home economics' contents are important for quality life of an individual. The results of the research have shown that home economics should be accepted by the society as an equal and equally demanding subject in connection with other subjects.
