Brezzobost in totalna proteza : diplomsko delo (poročilo o primeru)

Uvod: Brezzobost je velik funkcionalni in estetski problem, ki ga običajno rešujemo s totalno protezo. Totalna proteza je nadomestek, ki nam povrne funkcijo žvečenja ter pomaga pri govoru in požiranju. Za pacienta je pa verjetno najpomembneje, da ima zopet povrnjen svoj normalen videz obraza. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je opisati in razložiti, kaj je brezzobost, ter opisati totalno protezo kot rešitev brezzobosti in prikazati postopek izdelave totalne proteze. Metode dela: Metode dela, ki so bile uporabljene pri izdelavi diplomskega dela, so pregled strokovne literature, pregled spletnih revij in člankov, anketiranje ljudi s totalno protezo, laboratorijsko delo z izdelavo diplomskega izdelka in priprava slikovnega gradiva. Rezultati: V diplomskem delu so opisani brezzobost in totalna proteza ter vse strukture, ki so pomembne in ključne pri izdelavi totalne proteze. Prikazana je izdelava totalne proteze, ki jo spremlja tudi slikovno gradivo. Prikazani so tudi rezultati anket, ki so bile izvedene pri anketirancih s totalno protezo. Razprava in zaključek: Klasična totalna proteza je še vedno glavna rešitev brezzobe čeljusti, ne glede na to, da tehnologija napreduje in se pojavljajo implantati, kajti cena je tista, ki najpogosteje določa, kaj bo rešitev brezzobosti.

• Title: Complete edentulism and complete denture : thesis (case report)

Abstract

Introduction: Complete edentulism is a major functional and esthetic problem, which is usually solved with complete dentures. Total denture is a substitute which give us back chewing function and helps us with speech and swallowing. Fot the pacient it is probably the most important that they have a normal appearance of their face back. Purpose: The purpose of this diploma is to describe and e x plain what is complete edentulism and to describe a complete dentures as a solution of complete edentulism and show manufacturing process of creating a complete denture. Methods: Methods which have been used in the diploma are reviewing the scientific literature, online magazines and articles, interviewing people with complete dentures, laboratory work and making complete denture and preparation of images. Results: In the thesis is described complete edentulism and complete denture and all structures which are relevant and essential in making a complete denture that is accompanied by the images. The diploma also containes results of the survey that has been done with the pepole that wear complete denture. Discussion and conclusion: Complete denture is still the main solution of edentulous jaws, regardless of the fact that technology is advancing and implants are advancing, because price often provides what will be the solution of complete edentulism.
