Abstract
Razvoj železniških prog je primarno domena gradbeništva. Železniške proge so v svojem bistvu objekti umeščeni v naravno krajino in zato njihovo načrtovanje ter izgradnja predstavljajo predvsem izzive za gradbene inženirje. Po drugi strani so železniški tiri samo osnova železnic; sistema ki omogoča prevoz ljudi in tovora. Sam prevoz je izveden z vlaki, ki pa so plod razvoja strojnih inženirjev. Za zasnovo učinkovitih in gospodarnih železniških povezav je tako potrebno sodelovanje med gradbeno ter strojno stroko. V tej magistrski nalogi je predstavljena inovativna rešitev izgradnje železniške proge v veliki strmini, ki z umestitvijo vlečnega mehanizma v predel največje strmine omogoča vnos dodatne vlečne sile na vlak, ki je potrebna za premagovanje večjega nagiba. V nalogi je najprej preučen in razdelan proces delovanja vlečnega mehanizma, ki posledično definira zgradbo sistema. Nato so analizirane omejitve in posledice vnosa dodatne vlečne sile na vlakovno kompozicijo. Na koncu pa je opravljena podrobna gibalna analiza spuščanja in dvigovanja vlakovne kompozicije skozi predstavljeni vlečni mehanizem. Poleg analize pomikov, hitrosti in pospeškov gibanja, so obravnavane tudi potrebne vlečne sile in potrebna moč pogonskega stroja vlečnega mehanizma.

Title:Motion analysis of a train composition being pushed on a steep slope
Abstract:
Design of railway lines has been primarily in the domain of civil engineering. Indeed, the railway track is a structure that is built in a natural environment and thus the construction of it presents many civil engineering issues. However, the railway track is basically only the framework enabling the key function of railways; the transport of goods and people. The latter is carried out by trains, a domain of mechanical engineers. To design effective and efficient railway connections, collaboration between the two parties is necessary. This thesis presents an innovative construction of a railway line in steep inclination that enables travel of trains due to generation of an additional tractive force provided by the pulling mechanism installed on steep part of the track. This thesis firstly investigates and decomposes the working process of the pulling mechanism which enables identification of the subsystems and their structure. Furthermore, limitations and consequence of the input of the additional tractive force on the train are analysed. Finally, a detailed motion analysis of pushing and retention of the train through the pulling mechanism is conducted. Aside analysing the path, velocity and acceleration of the movement, required tractive forces and the necessary power of the pulling mechanisms drive are discussed.
