The purpose of this thesis is to design a corporate identity for a make-up artist. The main goal is a better recognisability of the make-up artist and to make the corporate image look organised. Research plays an important part with design. To successfully design the corporate identity it is important to communicate with the client and to know the target group.
Diploma thesis consists of two parts. Theoretical part consists of short make-up history , theory of design and of graphic design. Elements needed for designing the visual image are presented in this part also. Experimental part contains analysis of the client. The whole process from the idea to finished product is described. In the results section logotype is placed on typical advertisement material. Correct placement is made by designing a manual of corporate identity rules. Practical part of the thesis also contains a design of a web page for the make-up artist. The web page is presented from the idea to end design. The last part includes explanations of the decisions that were made in the designing process.
