Work focuses on analysis of a creative work environment model and its key aspects. More specifically, the work outlines various techniques and approaches used by the company IDEO, aiming to guide and promote establishment of creative working environments in other companies.
First part of the work includes case analysis in order to present the advantages of promoting creativity and innovation in enterprises. Second part analyses current conceptual model of creative environments and proposes its extension with two additional aspects. Final part of the work presents analysis of IDEO’s approach to establishing creative work environment, which can be followed by the other companies.
Key finding of the work is that the ability to generate creative ideas presents a foundation on which companies can build their competitive advantages and success. However, the findings additionally suggest that such ability can only be developed with strong support from the company’s management. The work also concludes that the creative work environment positively affects the working relationships between the employees and improve general mood in the company.
The work complements current theoretical framework of the creative work environment model with additional aspects: creativity techniques and workplace design, which both can additionally promote generation of new creative ideas in a company.
