In this thesis, we investigated the state of avenues of traditional pear varieties, different varieties of pears moštnica in Slovenia. We assessed the condition of the trees, diseases and pests affecting them, flowering, fruit ripening and supply of trees. For this study we used three pear avenues in different locations, namely Podčetrtek, Kuzma and Dob near Domžale. The primary purpose of these avenues is to preserve traditional varieties of pears with us. The results showed that in the best condition is youngest avenue in Podčetrtek, in the worst condition is the oldest avenue Dob near Domžale, which is also the least cared for, in a moderately good condition is the avenue Kuzma. It was also found that the disease occurs mainly in trees was scab, but the phenomenon is not very strong. Flowering period depends on the variety and all pears moštnica bloom in about the same time (up to 10 days difference). Moštnica fruits are small and in avenues designed mainly for bystanders refreshments. We have found that the better care of trees (cut) can take care of their better status, may also reduce the incidence of scab. The main purpose of trees avenue, which is in the preservation of different varieties of pears moštnica, is achieved.
