Abstract
Posledično to povzroči več nepotrebnega dela in daljše upravne postopke. Obstoječi sistemi so se začeli razvijati že pred več kot dvajsetimi leti in so tehnološko zastareli z več vidikov.

Title:Redevelopment of an information system for immovable cultural heritage on a novel technological level
Abstract:
Keeping information on the immovable cultural heritage is important as it is documenting the cultural diversity of Slovenia and at the same time playing an important role in administrative procedures, such as issuing building permits. Before every intervention in the environment it is necessary to check, would thereby the cultural heritage be endangered. Slovenian institutions responsible for the protection of cultural heritage currently use different systems and methods for recording and reading data on immovable heritage, which presents risk of data loss, unstructured management of large data and mismatch. Consequently, this leads to more unnecessary work and long administrative procedures. Existing systems are beginning developed for more than twenty years and are technologically obsolete due to multiple aspects. In the master thesis I analysed the current state of information systems in the field and implemented a new data base for Center for Preventive Archaeology using the Arches platform. This enabled a direct comparison and evaluation of the new system compared to the existing one. From the user's point of view are shown several advantages of the new system such as the manner and speed of data access, ease of entering of new data and a better user experience. All direct and indirect costs of introducing the new system and an estimation of the value of the transition to a new technological level is given.
