This graduation thesis discusses crane girder analysis. In the introduction crane types and their effects on the crane girder are described. The next chapter states geometric and technical characteristics of the dealt with crane. Dynamic components, which are the consequence of vibrations due to moving or braking of the crane as well as loading and unloading the burden, are considered with dynamic factors that are determined in the third chapter. Chapter four deals with influences of the crane structure on the crane girder according to SIST EN 1991-3: 2006. The following two chapters discuss load combinations and the resulting internal static quantities. Based on the assumed operating conditions the material of the crane supporting structure is determined, which is demonstrated in the seventh chapter. Chapter eight is intended for the crane supporting structure dimensioning and the ultimate limit state (ULS) control in accordance with SIST EN 1993-6: 2007. An important part of the crane girder analysis process is fatigue control which is dealt with in chapter nine. To avoid damage of the construction that would inhibit or prevent normal operation in the crane’s lifetime, control is performed according to the SIST EN 1993-1-9. The thesis concludes with the serviceability limit state (SLS) control.
