Abstract
Vključili smo naslednje strokovne baze podatkov: PubMed, Google Učenjak, ProQuest, Science Direct, Medline, BioMed Central.

Title:Methods for measuring spinal orthoses wearing time : literature review
Abstract:
Introduction: The conservative treatment of scoliosis requires compliance with the prescribed wearing time of the corrective orthoses. For supervising compliance with the wearing time of the orthotics we use objective and subjective methods. Among the objective we consider various sensors in the device that with the help of sensing temperature or pressure record wearing time of corrective orthoses. Subjective methods include questionnaires on wearing time of the orthosis being in between, on which the patient answers himself or with the help of parents or guardians. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to present an objective and subjective methods of measuring wearing time of the spinal orthoses. We want to describe and demonstrate the most used questionnaires, sensors and devices used in the measurement of wearing time of the correction of spinal orthoses. Methods: When making the thesis, we used descriptive or descriptive methods. We used the written and electronic resources, covering area of objective and subjective methods of measuring wearing time of the corrective spinal orthoses. We have included the following professional databases: PubMed, Google Scholar, ProQuest, Science Direct, Medline, BioMed Central. In this thesis, we used literature issued in the timeframe from 1986 to 2016 in English, Slovenian and German. Results: Objective methods of measuring while wearing corrective orthoses are considered more reliable than subjective. The results, which are made by devices and sensors are verifiable, while the subjective methods obtain information from the patient, which can not be verified and are not one hundred percent reliable. Discussion and conclusion: Adolescents are under stress while wearing corrective orthoses due to the orthoses as well as by the appearance of the spine and rejections among peers. Due to all these factors, they refuse to wear corrective orthoses which could lead to ineffective treatment of scoliosis. In order to have control over the wearing of orthoses we use objective and subjective methods of measuring time. Subjective methods are less reliable because patients do not give accurate data on the wearing of orthoses, so we use more of objective methods or a combination of objective and subjective. The information provided to us across the sensor or device can be checked, collected and analysed, and with using the information we can improve the treatment of scoliosis.
