When testing particle detectors, devices that use different logic levels are used. If we want to connect two devices that communicate on different logic levels, a translator has to be added between them.
For this master thesis, a universal device that is able to translate between TTL, ECL, NIM and LVDS logic families has been designed and constructed at the Department of Experimental Particle Physics of Josef Stefan Institute. Universality is achieved by usage of intermediate level and programmable logic circuit.
The Device was constructed according to NIM standard specifications.
